How do I join one of your programs, events or workshops?

New to Fun Fearless Females? Book a Meet & Greet!

Before attending your first program or event, we like to meet with you and tell you all about our amazing services while getting to know you a bit. At initial meetings we provide information about all of our services, give opportunities for questions and getting to know each other as well as learning more about your needs and sharing how we can best support them. If you would like someone to attend the meeting with you, please feel free to include them.

Are all of your services only for women with disabilities?

While we specialize and focus on supporting women with developmental disabilities, ALL WOMEN are welcome to access our supportive services and group programs. Our group social events are open to women 18+, however, our 1:1 support services are available to females of all ages. Our services are centered around supporting women of ALL abilities and we believe that ALL women can benefit from our services.

Why do you only allow women to join?

As a female owned business, Fun Fearless Females strives to promote and advocate for improving the health and wellbeing of ALL women. It’s just our passion!

Do you offer group programs for women under the age of 18 years old?

YES! We are now expanding our services to females as young as 13 years old - check out our NEW TEEN LADIES NIGHTS. If there is something you would like to see offered please Reach out to us and share your thoughts/ideas. We love to fill gaps in our community and support as many women (and in the future young women!) as possible.

How old do I have to be to join your group programs or receive 1:1 support?

Our group social events and 1:1 support services are available to women 13 years+.

Approaching 18 years old or preparing to transition into adult based programs and services? Reach out to us to discuss how we can help you do so with Fun Fearless Females.

How much does it cost to attend your group programs or receive 1:1 support?

Costs vary for each of our programs and support services. To receive up-to-date information on our group programs (including costs) subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on social media (links at the top and bottom of this page).

To obtain quotes for our 1:1 support services please Book A Meet & Greet.

Are your services covered through Passport Funding?

YES! All of our services are eligible for reimbursement under Passport Funding (government funding for community participation services and supports available to adults with developmental disabilities 18+). Want to learn more about Passport Funding? Click here to be taken to their website.

Where do you host your group programs and events?

We host our group programs and events primarily in Guelph ON, however, we will also venture out to neighbouring communities (Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Fergus, Elora, Toronto etc.) - especially for bigger events and trips like those during the summer months.

For virtual events (such as Ladies Nights, Stretch & Unwind + Strengthen to the Beat classes and our Life Skills Workshops) we host them on a video web conferencing platform called Zoom.

Are your group programs, events and 1:1 support services fully accessible?

We strive to make as many of our programs and events as possible physically accessible for those attending. Unfortunately our communities are not always fully accessible and so we do our best to host events in locations that are fully accessible as much as possible.

Please contact us if you have any questions regarding the accessibility of any scheduled event or program.

Policies

Cancellation Policy - Please know that Fun Fearless Females does not offer refunds for its 1:1 Support Services or Group Programming once registration has occurred (regularly scheduled sessions have been arranged or an invoice has been sent) and/or payment has been received. For 1:1 Support Services we require 30 days notice should you choose to end regularly scheduled support sessions, otherwise the regular fee will continue to be applied to your account. We understand that “life happens” and that there may be exceptional circumstances which prevent you from attending a pre-paid/pre-booked program or service, and so we may credit your account on a case-by-case basis. Illness or inclement weather will not warrant a credit to your account unless the program/service for which you have pre-registered has been canceled by the Fun Fearless Females

Fun Fearless Females reserves the right to cancel pre-booked programs and services in unavoidable situations (examples include: low registration, personal emergency etc.). If this occurs full refunds will be made. No refund will be given if services are being canceled due to the participant presenting a threat or causing harm to Fun Fearless Females’ staff, volunteers, participants or community members.

If you have any questions regarding this policy please contact lori@funfearlessfemales.ca. for more information.

Late Payment Policy - Payments must be received on or before the due dates specified on all invoices sent by Fun Fearless Females - failure to do so will result in a $20.00+hst administrative fee for each occurrence. This fee will be applied to the individual's account who is accessing Fun Fearless Females services and if payment can not be made on or before the dates specified they may be asked by Fun Fearless Females staff not to attend services or programs until their account has returned to good standing.

We do not want finances to be a barrier in attending our programming. Please let us know if you need support with or experience difficulties in making payments for their scheduled due dates - we are here to help!

If you have any questions regarding this policy please email lori@funfearlessfemales.ca.

COVID 19 Policy - The use of face masks at our in person events is no longer mandatory, however, if you feel more comfortable continuing to wear a face mask we welcome you to do so. Everyone’s comfort levels vary and we respect that. No judgement!
